Schmorgurken

Menge: 4 Portionen

1 Kilogramm grüne, reife Gurken
50 Gramm Speck
1 Zwiebel
50 Gramm Schmalz
250 Milliliter Gemüsebrühe
etwas Tafelsalz
etwas Pfeffer frisch aus der Mühle
ein paar Senfkörner

Schälen Sie die Gurken, befreien Sie sie von dem inneren weichen Teilen und schneiden Sie die
Gurken klein. Dann schneiden Sie den Speck und die abgezogene Zwiebel in Würfel. Danach
zerlassen Sie den Schmalz in einem Topf und braten die Speckwürfel sowie die Zwiebelwürfel
darin an. Anschließend geben Sie die Gurkenstücke dazu und schmoren sie leicht. Nach dem
Schmoren füllen Sie den Topf mit der Brühe aus und würzen die Schmorgurken mit Tafelsalz,
Pfeffer sowie den Senfkörnern.
