50 Milliliter Apfelessig
2 Esslöffel Ahornsirup oder Dattelsirup
1 Esslöffel Sojasoße (glutenfrei möglich)
1 Esslöffel Tomatenmark
1 Esslöffel Speiseöl (zum Beispiel Rapsöl oder Sonnenblumenkernöl)
1 Teelöffel Senf (mittelscharf)
1 Teelöffel geräuchertes Paprikapulver
1 Teelöffel Knoblauchpulver
1 Teelöffel Zwiebelpulver
1 Prise Cayennepfeffer
1 Prise Salz
1 Prise Pfeffer, frisch aus der Mühle

Arbeitsschritte

Basis anrühren
Speiseöl in einem kleinen Topf erhitzen.
Tomatenmark hinzufügen und kurz anschwitzen.
Passierte Tomaten, Apfelessig, Ahornsirup, Sojasoße und Senf unterrühren.

Würzen und köcheln lassen
Geräuchertes Paprikapulver, Knoblauchpulver, Zwiebelpulver, Cayennepfeffer, Salz und Pfeffer hinzufügen.
Bei niedriger Hitze 15 Minuten köcheln lassen, gelegentlich umrühren.

Finale Abstimmung
Die Sauce abschmecken und nach Wunsch mit mehr Ahornsirup für Süße oder Apfelessig für Säure anpassen.
