400 Gramm Seitan (in Streifen geschnitten)
3 große Zwiebeln (in dünne Ringe geschnitten)
3 Esslöffel Rapsöl oder Sonnenblumenöl
2 Esslöffel Sojasauce
Etwas Salz
Etwas Pfeffer, frisch aus der Mühle

Seitan in einer Pfanne mit 2 Esslöffeln Rapsöl oder Sonnenblumenöl bei mittlerer Hitze anbraten, bis er goldbraun wird. Zur Seite stellen.

In derselben Pfanne 1 Esslöffel Rapsöl oder Sonnenblumenöl erhitzen und die Zwiebeln darin glasig anbraten.

Sojasauce zu den Zwiebeln geben, gut vermengen und die Zwiebeln weiterbraten, bis sie weich und leicht karamellisiert sind.

Seitan zu den Zwiebeln zurück in die Pfanne geben und alles gut vermischen. Mit etwas Salz und Pfeffer abschmecken.

Unsere Tipps:

Verwenden Sie Schalotten statt gewöhnlicher Zwiebeln, um einen süßeren, feineren Geschmack zu erhalten.

Fügen Sie einen Schuss Balsamico-Essig hinzu, um die Zwiebeln zu karamellisieren und eine leichte Säure hinzuzufügen.

Seitan kann vor dem Braten leicht mariniert werden, um mehr Geschmack zu erhalten, zum Beispiel mit etwas Zitronensaft und Knoblauch.
