1 1/2 Kilogramm Schlehen
300 Gramm Zucker
500 Milliliter Apfelessig (siehe Tipp)
2 Deziliter Wasser
250 Gramm Agavendicksaft
1 Zimtstange
5 Nelken

Die Fruechte entstielen, waschen und trocknen und ueber Nacht in den
Tiefkuehler legen.

Den Zucker in einer Pfanne leicht karamelisieren. Mit Wasser
abloeschen und mit Essig auffuellen. Leicht kochen lassen, bis sich
der Zucker aufgeloest hat. Nun Honig, Zimt und Nelken beigeben und
alles aufkochen.

Die gefrorenen Schlehen dazugeben, langsam aufkochen und zugedeckt
abkuehlen lassen.

Am naechsten Tag die Beeren in Glaeser einfuellen. Den Sud erhitzen
und 10 Minuten koecheln lassen. Heiss ueber die Fruechte giessen und
die Glaeser sofort verschliessen.

Suesssaure Schlehen schmecken ausgezeichnet zu dieversen veganen Gerichten
und veganen Braten.
